Men who have to resell engagement rings really have it tough. Not to mention the fact that their plans for engagement have been shot down, selling engagement rings can be an arduous process. Often, one can only recoup a substantially small percentage of the engagement ring's original costs. This can be due to the fact that the value of a lot of jewellery doesn't really appreciate over time. However, a man could still have some avenues left to him to recoup some of the costs.

Pawnshops are always a possibility although one could often get just about twenty percent of the ring's original costs through this route. One could also try to sell it to other jewellery stores and if the ring is in good condition and the person trying to sell it is convincing
enough, one might be able to sell at prices a bit nearer to the original costs. Another option would be to go online and sell it through E-bay or other web sites. One could also go to local web forums and create a thread dedicated to selling the engagement ring. Of course, one should be ready to post a picture of the ring itself online and be ready to meet with potential buyers in the real world. Another option would be to sell it to people who one knows personally.

However, if the need to resell isn't really that great, then one could consider keeping the ring and using it the next time one proposes engagement again. Since costs for new jewellery at the jewellery stores often inflate over the years as well, then one could save money by having bought the ring now instead of years into the future.
