Three-piece wedding and engagement rings sets are becoming a popular choice for couples. What better way to express such oneness than pushing forth in a lifelong commitment of marriage? And this commitment is symbolized by the rings - first the engagement ring then the wedding bands.

His-and-hers accessories have long been in the market as they give the couple a feeling of unity and harmony. An example of accessory that is often offered coupled is watches. Some couples prefer to be seen with matching timepieces while others are more subtle and content in wearing matching rings.

Jewellers found a market in this category; hence, they created the three-piece set that consists of an engagement ring and matching wedding bands. This is also called a trio wedding set by some.

Some
have also released a set that includes another piece of ring that will serve to bind the woman's engagement and wedding rings. So instead of having separate rings after the wedding, the two pieces will be fused to appear as one on the bride's finger.

Other sets only offer his-and-hers wedding bands - that is, the engagement ring is purchased separately to cater to the specific taste of the wearer.

To enhance the oneness of the bands, a common practice is having them engraved. They will now be considered personalized and unique to the couple. Others put the wedding date; some put their initials; and a few manage to put a phrase.

However the couple will decide, whether solitaire or in sets, it is really the meaning they will put into those rings and how they will realize the symbolism of these rings.
