Silver is the versatile metal used in jewellery making. Due to high prices of gold and platinum, lots of people are buying silver jewellery. Silver is a beautiful metal but easily develops a black tarnish. When silver is exposed to the air, its surface molecules combine with the oxygen to form silver oxide, which is black.

This black silver oxide can be cleaned easily. With the proper care your jewellery can last for the lifetime. You should clean your jewellery with liquid polish cleaner. Two types of silver polish cleaners are available. First type of polish is applied on the jewellery and then it is left to become dried and finally it is removed with cloth. Second type of polish is applied and then washed off directly. The latter is the best choice because it is less abrasive.
