Jewellery is one of the oldest forms of body adornments. During earlier times, the first pieces of jewellery were made from natural materials such as animal teeth, bone, wood and shell. It has been made for nearly every body part, from hairpins to toe rings. Jewellery is mostly used for decoration purpose. From a health perspective, children should not wear jewellery. But one can buy safe jewellery by keeping the following recommendations in mind.

2. If you want to buy metal jewellery, choose sterling silver or high karat gold.
3. Natural and chewable jewellery is also introduced which is safe for the children.
