Hip Hop Jewellery as the Youth's Trend

Most kids today wear hip hop jewellery as the newest form of fashion. The trend began way back in the 70's because of the rise of the hip hop lifestyle. It was rapidly becoming a culture; thus, more and more people were becoming influenced with the style of dressing as well as the music. This kind of jewellery earned its connotation as being a symbol of wealth because only celebrities wore these back in the day.

There are many kinds of "bling" that are widely available in the market today. They're a mix of the different styles from the 70's, 80's and 90's up until today. You can find the big 80's gold ropes as well as the diamond-encrusted necklaces, pendants, platinum bracelets and rings, diamond crosses, LED belt buckles, iced-out dog tags, watches and so much more. People wear these to show that they are part of the hip hop lifestyle.

Most of the jewellery are made out of the most expensive metals from platinum and white gold to silver and gold jewellery. You can pick from a wide variety of sizes and shapes, or you could have it custom-made to be special only for you. Others choose to include precious stones and pearls or to have gold and silver plating and rose gold to make their jewellery unique.

The major difference between this kind of jewellery as compared to the other kinds is that it is often bright, big and flashy. This is why it's called "bling" as it's thought to create an imaginary sound when so many diamonds reflect light.

People have even resorted to "blinging out" their teeth too. There are people who have actually put platinum caps on their teeth by sheer vanity, and others even put diamonds grilled into the teeth.
