Jewlery and fashion go hand in hand. If you buy a new outfit the chances are you might just look for new matching jewelry to go along with it.

Fashion trends change like the weather, people are always looking for that new exciting thing to jazz up there old outfits and give their wardrobe a different look. When it comes to jewelry, 2010 has seen its fair share of trends inspired by Hollywood celebs, pop culture and TV shows alike. What ever the celebs are wearing we seem to want and following is a list of some trends that the fashionista may have to get their hands on this year.

Bangles
This year has seen the return of the eighties styles adorning the catwalks of Paris to New York this genre brings with it the eighties flavor to jewelry and accessories. There are lots of big eighties earrings from loops to large button clip-on’s. The eighties were notorious for the bangle bracelets and no surprise that these have a major impact this season.

Dangling earrings
Bright and beautiful is the trend here, the summer of 2010 is all about floral dresses and bright colored accessories. Dangling earrings give that boho feel and are very popular for the summer but are also carried into the autumn collections as well. The structured and tailored jackets and blazers for women have inspired that Dynasty flavor and people are looking more glamorous then ever with skinny jeans matched with blazers for that day time look, but all important is the dangling earrings with in the tussled hair to set of the look.

Key Pendants
These are increasing in sales the last few years and are a very popular gift choice among young people. We have seen them being worn on Hollywood Boulevard by the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan so teenagers just cant seem to be without on this season. The most popular type being white gold, but they come in a range of precious metals with or without gems that will suit all price ranges making them very accessible.

Yellow gold
This is making a come back after years of the subtlety of silver and white gold styles the richer more vibrant yellow and rose gold’s are growing in popularity. This type of metal is more colorful and because it’s at its true natural state it will tarnish less then its white gold counterparts making it more wearable and durable.

The overall theme this year seems to be the bigger the better. Think back to the glamorous days of Dynasty with their sparkling jewels and big earrings. The trend this year is a dash of Dynasty but a little more subtle and sophisticated. Wear one large ring or bangle with dangly earrings, the key is not to wear everything together as you can look more Christmas tree then Krystle Carrington.
