There are so many solutions available for cleaning diamonds but there are simple methods at home you can take that will help you on how to clean diamonds rings. It’s not rocket science it takes a little bit of time, a cool head and gently does it. Firstly add some warm water into a basin and add a little bit of mild detergent. Dirt and grim can build up over the weeks, months and possibly years if you do not clean on a regular basis so it’s important to do a gently clean every month or so. This can affect the dazzling effect diamonds cause and can make them appear a little dull.


Once you have your water and detergent (mild nothing industrial) added, use a softened brush (no hardened bristles) and very gently clean around the diamond and particularly where it joins the ring (band). Do not be aggressive with the cleaning as you may dismount the diamond from the ring. The big question of how to clean diamonds rings is answered very easily by a) mild water b) mild detergent c) a soft brush with gentle rubbing. You can use an old worn tooth rush for clean. You can use a cloth but without softened bristles it will be very unlikely that you will remove stubborn grim.

Remember to remove your ring if working around chemicals. A point to note, if it can harm your skin you don’t want it at your diamonds. If you are a swimmer you should remove the diamond ring as chlorine can be harmful to diamonds and may alter its color appearance.
