With Valentines Day soon arriving on Feb the 14th males all over the planet start to panic, especially those who are in a new relationship. It is difficult to choose a Valentines gift in the early day’s of a relationship as you are trying your very best to impress the other half. People in longer term relationships have it a little easier but cannot become too complacent or face the consequences.
There are many factors to consider when looking at purchasing a loved one’s valentine present. Firstly know your budgets, there is absolutely know point in spending outside what you can really afford. In early relationships people tend to spend big to impress when really smaller items and thought tend to impress a lot more. Not all gold, diamonds, pendants or watches etc cost the earth.
Valentines is a time to show your true affection to your partner. Men can’t go wrong with flowers, nothing like a dozen roses to put a smile on a girl’s face, but as we all are aware the rose’s this time off year always seem to almost double in price to normal. If you are considering flowers I would advise to shop online as most reputable online florists will offer discount pricing and nationwide delivery (delivery at a charge).
Jewellery for Valentines is far the most popular type of gift for ladies. Many Men contemplate popping the big question “Will you marry me” around this time so engagement rings are on the ready. It is difficult to choose the correct ring and many couples shop together as apposed to the guy picking the ring as a total surprise.
Diamond earrings or Diamond anything goes down a treat, they come in so many varieties from stud earrings to clip on etc. Watches are also very popular
and more poplar for the ladies to give as a gift to her man. Men love Valentine gifts as much as woman. Some couples simply enjoy a nice meal in a restaurant with a nice bottle of wine to wash it all down.
It’s all about the romance on Feb the 14th so don’t get too caught up in gifts and expense, being together is the important factor. Couples who are together along time tend not to worry as much about gifts but still like to be taught of. A new relationship is always different and is a little easier for presents. If Jewellery is what you have your mind set on buying, consider these points:
1) Has your partner already got a mass collection of Jewellery and if so what is her favourite items?
2) How long are you together? If you buy big this year will it be expected every year?
3) If you are buying a ring, do you know the finger size? If not you might be able to quietly borrow a ring for an hour or so and get it measured.
4) If it is an engagement ring the very best of luck but make sure you are getting engaged for the right reasons and not just because of the day itself.
5) Shop around and if possible shop early and take advantage of the January sales instead of last minute shopping. Shopping online can add further savings.
6) But some thought into what you are buying, if you bought something similar previously try something different.
7) Maybe a nice 2 or 3 day hotel break would suit apart from any gifts
8) Pick a nice valentines card and from your heart, not just because it’s on the shelf.
9) Do not put yourself under financial strain so close after Christmas.
Being together and happy is better than any gift, the gift of love. If you love someone no amount of diamonds or pear necklaces or Gucci watches will ever replace the gift of love.
